BACKGROUND

Christopher Mills established The RKM Building Group in April 2007. Chris is a registered builder (builder registration number 101831) unlimited up to 2000 sqm, and has over 15 years of experience in the construction industry in which he started by completing his carpentry apprentice and soon after proceeded into Project Management and uses PRINCE2 methodology. Chris gained his experience and Builders Registration through his construction company which has been in business for 9 years.  The 15 years of professional experience has been gained through a wide range of multi-disciplinary projects, working in both government and private organisations and both commercial and residential projects, over the past 6 months over 80 projects have been completed under Chris’s management,

The staff numbers continue to grow to meet the needs of the increasing client base that The RKM Building Group within the Commercial and residential building and maintenance markets in Western Australia.

The projects which The RKM Building group are involved in range from large commercial projects to residential builds to general building maintenance, we provide a wide range of services from our select team of trades and contractors.

CAPABILITY AND EXPERIENCE

The RKM Building Group has been structured to deliver projects within the Perth Metropolitan and regional area, using skills both internally to RKM Building Group and externally through sub consulting service agreements. All the personnel and skills are based locally within the Perth market and hence all bring relevant Perth and Western Australian experience to the projects. The client will benefit from this pool of experienced professionals who have a common work ethic and have previously worked together for many years on projects prior to joining RKM Building.

The RKM Building Group structure provides efficiencies to the client and allows a seamless one stop contact through the nominated RKM Building Group Project Manager. All personnel listed are available for project work on an ‘as required’ basis.

We have adopted a paperless cloud based drop box documentation system where we can share all of our documents relating to each of our projects with benefits of no paper filing, having safe access to archived projects and present day projects with the ability to have all documents signed off and complete days before the project commences.  All safety documentation and PSR reports can be signed onsite by the appropriate RKM staff member through iPad and filed away in Dropbox for project completion, this creates less of environmental impact through our documentation.  The documentation which we save within our Dropbox folders include PO’s, JSA’s, Invoice’s, Images, emails and any policies and procedures etc. which are applicable to the project, Traffic Management Plans if applicable and so on.
